Set within a residential pocket of Dublin, this project began with a home that had evolved over time but lacked cohesion, clarity, and a sense of flow. While generous in space, each room felt disconnected, with little relationship between how the home looked and how it was actually lived in
The brief was to reimagine the property as a fully resolved family home—one that felt calm, considered, and effortless to move through, while reflecting the client’s lifestyle and day-to-day routines. Like all projects at House Iconic, the process began with a deep understanding of how the home needed to function, ensuring that every design decision was rooted in practicality as much as aesthetics.
The design was guided by a restrained and cohesive material palette, chosen to bring warmth and continuity throughout the home. Natural textures, layered finishes, and subtle tonal contrasts were used to create depth without overwhelming the space.
Every element—from flooring and cabinetry to lighting and soft furnishings—was selected to work in harmony, resulting in interiors that feel calm, balanced, and quietly refined. This reflects the studio’s approach to creating spaces that are both visually resolved and practical for everyday living.
A number of bespoke elements were introduced to elevate the overall design, including custom joinery, tailored storage solutions, and carefully considered furniture pieces. These details allowed the design to respond precisely to the architecture of the home, while adding a layer of individuality and craftsmanship.
Working closely with a trusted network of tradespeople, artisans, and suppliers, each aspect of the design was carried through with precision—ensuring consistency from initial concept through to final installation.
